This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Word 2013 hotfix package that is dated April 8, 2014.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • You experience layout issues in Word 2013.

  • Assume that you create a VBA event that is set to start when you enter a content control in a Word 2013 document. Then, you backspace into a content control. When you enter a content control, the VBA event is not triggered.

  • After you select the Use printer metrics to lay out document check box on the Advanced tab in the Word Options dialog box in Word 2013, table autofit may be incorrect in some documents.

  • When you hook into SyncObject events for an IMAP account in Outlook 2013, background synchronization stops working as expected.

  • When you close a window, sometimes Word 2013 crashes.

  • When you collapse My Calendars in Outlook 2013, Outlook 2013 crashes and you have to restart Outlook 2013.

  • When you have a frame such as a floating table with text-wrapping that breaks across multiple pages and there is text next to the frame in a Word 2013 document, the footnote text may not appear if there are footnotes in the text.
