Copilot, including Brand Kit, is available in PowerPoint for Windows, Mac, and the web.
Copilot is an AI-powered assistant available in PowerPoint for Windows, Mac, and the web. It can be accessed by opening Copilot Chat using the Copilot icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen. It is on by default in the prompt box.

Copilot helps you create, edit, and understand your presentations. It understands document context, can perform multi-step tasks, and generates or edits content directly within PowerPoint, including:
- Create Interactive Slides - Generate engaging interactive slides like dashboards, timelines, and summaries that people can explore with you, so your presentation feels like a story you're walking through together.
- Slide Editing and Structuring: Add new slides, update existing content, reorganize sections, and enhance overall flow with AI-assisted suggestions.
- Image Generation and Enhancement: Use AI to create custom visuals or replace existing ones, with results inserted directly into your slides or shared in chat.
- Presentation Understanding: Quickly summarize your deck, get answers to specific questions, and receive insights to help you better communicate your message.
You can choose between different AI models, including Claude from Anthropic and ChatGPT from OpenAI, to power your Copilot experience when making changes directly in your presentation.
Copilot will work to understand and follow your presentation's design and brand. A key way to help Copilot better understand your brand requirements is to populate a Brand Kit (available for enterprise users) with your brand assets.
The experience is designed to streamline presentation creation workflows and improve productivity. It has been designed with responsible AI in mind.

- Ask it to reformat your presentation to match the branded template style, applying consistent colors, fonts, and layouts throughout - such as "Restyle this slide to match the rest of the deck. Improve the layout and visual hierarchy, and use one of my branded images instead of the placeholder graphic."
- Edit your visuals to suit your unique use cases by asking Copilot to "Edit this image so it includes an object/person interacting with the product/background, keeping the same scenery, lighting, and color treatment so it still matches our brand look and feel."

Is the content generated original?
Content generated by Copilot is created by AI models that are trained over large datasets of presentations, internal and external data. However, outputs are synthesized from patterns in training data and may occasionally resemble existing content. Always review for originality and appropriateness before use.
How does image generation work in Copilot?
Copilot supports image generation using advanced AI models.
Request an image in chat, and Copilot will generate one if appropriate. Images can be inserted directly onto slides or returned in chat for manual placement depending on the request.
How does Copilot use my uploaded images in image generation?
When you upload an image or refer to one in a slide as a reference for generation, Copilot uses AI to analyze the entire image, including objects, background, and style. If people are present, the analysis may include visible physical and facial features, as well as the number of individuals. Based on your instructions, Copilot may stylize the image, modify the background, or add new elements. In some cases, it may recognize well-known public figures but otherwise can't identify unique individuals.
Users must ensure they have the appropriate rights and permissions to use any uploaded images, including consent from all individuals depicted.
Where can I learn more about privacy?
Copilot and Microsoft 365 are built on Microsoft's comprehensive approach to security, compliance, and privacy.
A few things to note
This feature uses advanced AI technology to generate content from your input. As with any evolving technology, outputs may vary and may not always be accurate or aligned with your intent, and may occasionally include sensitive content. We recommend reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before including it in your presentation. Similar inputs may produce similar results.
