New firmware notification for Trio 8800 with Microsoft Skype for Business Online
This article describes a new firmware for the Polycom RealPresence Trio phones. The firmware has been certified and is available for customers. The firmware update version is 5.4.3.2389.

How to install the update
Cloud private branch exchange (PBX) Skype Certified phones downloads and installs new firmware automatically when it's available. For Manual control of firmware upgrades, update CSIPPhonePolicy.Phones will receive firmware updates based on the off-hours in specific regions, without affecting core business hours. The updates are also staggered to have minimal affect bandwidth.
Prerequisites for Cloud PBX automatic device updates

In order to download and install the new firmware, the phone has to be signed in with a Skype for Business online user account.

In order to automatically download and install the new firmware by using device update policy, a minimum software release has to be deployed on the phone. To learn more about minimum releases, See Certified Version for TRIO 8800.
Note Phones will need an estimate of less than five minutes to install the new firmware. Phones will also restart as part of the upgrade process.
