Refine and customize your videos with AI-powered edits for the exact output you need, from setting the tone and style, to changing the narration voice and background music. The script and audio are AI-generated, but the images, video footage, and music are from Microsoft's content library. If the video is generated from a PowerPoint deck, the image and video content are sourced from that selected deck.

Create was evaluated through extensive manual and automatic testing on top of Microsoft internal usage and public data. More evaluation was performed over custom datasets for offensive and malicious prompts (user questions) and responses. In addition, Create is continuously evaluated with user online feedback.

When you upload an image as a reference for generation, Copilot uses AI to analyze the entire image, including objects, background, and style. If people are present, the analysis may include visible physical and facial features, as well as the number of individuals. Based on your instructions, Copilot may stylize the image, modify the background, or add new elements. In some cases, it may recognize well-known public figures but, otherwise, can't identify unique individuals.Â
Users must ensure they have the appropriate rights and permissions to use any uploaded images, including permission from all individuals depicted.Â
For AI-generated images created within Microsoft 365 Copilot​​​​​, we have implemented content credentials provenance, based on the C2PA standard, to help people identify whether images were edited or generated with AI. Provenance metadata can be viewed on the Content Credentials site.
