You can use either a JDBC driver or an ODBC driver supplied by the database vendor.We recommend that you install and use ODBC drivers. If you use standard ODBC, you can use the RevoScaleR rxImport() function to import data to an XDF file and work with big datasets in Revolution R that do not fit in memory. This option is not available if you want to use the JDBC method.
