Symptoms

Assume that you use Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). When you execute an SSIS package that contains an XML task, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

The process cannot access the file file_path because it is being used by another user.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:  

    Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2016 SP1

    Cumulative Update 4 for SQL Server 2016 

    Cumulative Update 9 for SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1 

    Cumulative Update 13 for SQL Server 2014 

Cumulative Update 5 for SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 3 

Cumulative update 3 for SQL Server 2014 SP2
