Symptoms
Assume that you have a Tabular model database at 1200 compatibility level in an instance of SQL Server 2016 Analysis Services. When you execute an MDX query on the Tabular model database, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
An unexpected error occurred (file 'xlphyop.cpp', line 1945, function 'XLIterPhyOp_MDSet::NextRow').
Resolution
This issue is fixed by an update that's included in the following cumulative updates:
