Symptoms

In Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Integration Services (SSIS 2016), the default TimeoutInMinutes of Hadoop File System Task is 10 minutes. After you modify the TimeoutInMinutes parameter to other values such as 60 minutes, you find that the Hadoop File System task still fails at 10 minutes when you run the SSIS package.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2016 SP1
