It also enables coauthoring for Office documents that are synchronized by OneDrive in a reliable and high-performance manner. This update lets you use Office with the latest version of OneDrive for Business to enable a great of online and offline user experiences for all files that are synchronized.Some significant user experiences include the following:

Quick open of OneDrive synchronized files from anywhere (file explorer, most recently used, or websites). This results in Office applications opening the correct file and keeping all changes in synchronization.

Rich collaboration and sharing experiences.

Offline edits of synchronized files.

To determine whether your Office installation is Click-to-Run or MSI-based, follow these steps:

Start an Office 2016 application.

On the File menu, select Account.

For Office 2016 Click-to-Run installations, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based installations, the Update Options item isn't displayed.
