When using an Exchange Server 2010 resource mailbox, which is configured to AutoAccept meeting requests, any meeting request items that contain custom code will not be processed. No error will be reported on the client or Exchange Server.

Symptoms

This is by design.

Cause

Remove any custom scripting or code within meeting request items before sending them to the server for processing.

Resolution

A change to server-side processing was incorporated into Exchange Server 2010. A requirement was added in the Microsoft Office Outlook (client) which requires that the server not process messages that contain client side scripting or code. This change prevents the server from modifying the code, which could cause Outlook to process the code incorrectly. The result of this change is that, if the Resource Booking Assistant determines that custom code is present in a meeting request, the request will not be processed.
