Introduction

The Microsoft System Center 2016 Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation General Availability Update Rollup is available. This update rollup package provides a collection of performance and reliability improvements to Service Provider Foundation. We recommend that you apply this update rollup as part of your regular maintenance routines.


How to obtain and install Update Rollup 1 for System Center 2016 Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation

Update packages for Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation are available from Microsoft Update or by manual download.

Microsoft Update

To obtain and install an update package from Microsoft Update, follow these steps on a computer that has a Service Provider Foundation component installed:

  1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

  2. In Control Panel, double-click Windows Update.

  3. In the Windows Update window, click Check Online for updates from Microsoft Update.

  4. Click Important updates are available.

  5. Select the Update Rollup package and then click OK.

  6. Click Install updates to install the update package.


If your computer is running Windows Server 2016 or later, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start and then click Settings.

  2. In Settings, click Updates & Security.

  3. On the Windows Update tab, click Check Online for updates from Microsoft Update.

  4. Click Important updates are available.

  5. Select the Update Rollup package and then click OK.

  6. Click Install updates to install the update package.

To manually install the update package, run the following command from an elevated command prompt:

msiexec.exe /update kb3190602_Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msp Note After you install this update, it is not listed in Programs and Features item in Control Panel. To uninstall this update, you can use one of the following commands.

If you have the original MSI installation media for Orchestrator - Service Provider Foundation and the .msp file for this update, run the following command:

msiexec.exe /package Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msi /uninstall kb3190602_Microsoft.SystemCenter.Foundation.Setup_x64.msp /passive If you don't have the original files, you can remove this update by using the GUID references. To do this, run the following command:

msiexec.exe /package {69344E86-7183-4384-A230-499E9914BE14} /uninstall {21F389C5-BBAF-40ED-AD9F-40DA9500619B} /passive
