How to Connect to a Cloud PC

Note: The device (physical or virtual) should be configured in Boot to Cloud PC mode. For additional details please refer to What is Windows 365 Boot? 

  1. Use Tab key to navigate through the sign-in page until you hear “Sign into your account” and then press Enter to open the sign-in dialog.

  2. Type in your email address and press Enter.

  3. Type your password and press Enter to access the cloud PC.

    Note: When you press Enter, you will be taken to the "Connecting" Transition Screen with a single cancel button. If you want to end the session, press the Tab key to reach the Cancel button, and then press Enter.

  4. Once landed on Transition Screen, Press Windows logo key+Ctrl+Enter to turn on Narrator. 

    Notes: 

    • If you encounter a "Connection failed due to a network issue" error during login, please examine your network connection. If the problem persists, kindly reach out to the administrator for assistance.  Connection failed due to network error.

    • If you encounter the appearance of an error screen, "provider app not found," you'll be directed back to the sign-in screen.Screen of Provider App error message

    • Use the Tab key to move to "return to sign in," and then press Enter. If needed, ask your admin for help.

    • After entering the password, the narrator will initiate a timer lasting 5 to 20 minutes, and the timer will commence after only 50 seconds. Updates on the remaining time will be provided every 30 seconds. 

    • While the user is on the Connecting Transition Screen, they may encounter an error and see this error dialog box. Navigate to the OK button and return to sign in screen.Screen of Transition Screen error dialog

  5. Now you are logged in to the cloud pc environment.

    Note: For users accessing the cloud PC for the first time, enable the narrator after signing in for ease in subsequent sessions.

Enable narrator in subsequent sessions

  1. Press the Windows logo key, then type " Settings" in the search box and press Enter to open the Settings menu.

  2. Use the Down arrow key to select Accessibility and then press Enter.

  3. Navigate to the Narrator button and select it.

  4. Press the Spacebar to Toggle the narrator ON.  Screen of Narrator Setting Window

  5. Press Enter to expand the selection and activate the “Start Narrator after sign-in” by using Spacebar.

Disconnect from Cloud PC

  1. Press the Windows logo key to open the start window.

  2. Navigate through navigation menu to select Power and then press Enter.

  3. Use the Down arrow key to select Disconnect button from the popup window and then press Enter to disconnect the cloud PC connection.
