Windows 365 Switch lets you sign in and connect to your Cloud PC using Windows 11 Task view. Just like switching between your local desktops, you can now switch between your Cloud PC and your physical device.

Switch between local and Cloud PC

  1. Press the Windows logo key, then type " Windows App" in the search box and press Enter to open the app.

  2. Sign into your account to access the Windows app.

  3. Navigate using the Tab key until you hear “More button.” Then, press Enter to access the dropdown menu.Homepage of Windows App

  4. Use the down arrow keyto select “Add to Task view” and then press Enter.

    Note: Now Cloud pc is enabled in your task view.

  5. Press Windows key+Tab to access the task view, Task view allows you to see all open windows and virtual desktops.Taskbar with focus on PCP

  6. Use the Tab key to navigate “Connect to Cloud PC button” and then press Enter to open the cloud PC environment.

    Note: A transition screen will appear with a timer. You can wait on the screen or press Tab to select “wait on local pc” and then press Enter. Once the connection is successful, the screen reader will announce "cloud PC connected."

  7. Press Windows key+Ctrl+Right arrow or Windows key+Ctrl+left arrow, it will take you through all the virtual desktops including Cloud PC in a cyclic manner or press the Windows key+Tab. Navigate to the "cloud desktops list" using the Tab key and activate it by pressing Enter.

    Note: For users accessing the cloud PC for the first time, you must enable the built-in narrator to cloud PCs after logging in.

  8. To switch back to the local PC, press Windows key+Ctrl+Right arrow or Windows key+Ctrl+left arrow, it will take you through all the virtual desktops including local desktop in a cyclic manner or use the Windows key+Tab, navigate to the “local desktops” with the Tab key, and activate it by pressing Enter.

How to disconnect cloud PC connection

  1. Press the Windows logo key to open the start window.

  2. Navigate through navigation menu to select Power and then press Enter.

  3. Use down arrow key to select Disconnect from the popup window and then press Enter to disconnect the cloud PC connection.

Disconnect from local desktop

  1. Press the Windows key+Tab. Then, use Tab key to navigate to the "cloud desktops list" option.

  2. Press shift+F10 to open the context menu.

  3. Use the down arrow key to select Disconnect and then press Enter.
