In Teams, you can record a video clip and send it to people in one-on-one and group chats. They can watch the video directly in the chat. 

  1. Go to any one-on-one or group chat. 

  2. Select Record a video clip  under the box where you type a message.

  3. Select Record.

    Note: You can pause and continue the recording as many times as you need.  

  4. When you're done recording, select Review.

  5. Trim your video clip, and then select Send

    Note: If you need to, you can record the video clip again.

Turn closed captions on or off

Video clips shared in Teams have auto-generated captions by default. If you want to turn off the captions for a video clip you're watching, select Captions  The Closed Captions icon for Teams video clips. To turn them back on, select Captions  The Closed Captions icon for Teams video clips again.

Note: Record a video clip will become available as part of the public preview program and might undergo further changes before being released publicly.
