If you created a useful Copilot prompt and you'd like to keep using it, you can ask Copilot to run it for you later so you won't have to remember to run it yourself. You can schedule it to run at set times and frequencies.

Note: To schedule prompts, you'll need to use m365.cloud.microsoft/chat, Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat in Microsoft Teams, or Microsoft Outlook for the web and Desktop. You'll also need the following licenses: Microsoft 365 Copilot and Standard Microsoft Power Automate. In addition, optional connected experiences must be turned on in your account privacy settings.

Maybe you asked Copilot for a quick overview of emails that need a response before you log off for the weekend. You could schedule the prompt so you'll get the summary on Friday afternoons, ensuring you can enjoy your weekend without being stressed about missing something important.

Shows a Copilot prompt, and the available icons, with "Schedule prompt" selected. The prompt can run up to fifteen times, so you won't have to run the prompt manually every time, and if you want to keep using it after that, you can keep reactivating it.

There are, of course, also other times when a scheduled prompt could help you save time and stay informed. For example:

  • It's Monday and you want to catch up on emails that you may have missed since the last time you logged on.

  • You have a recurring meeting and you want notes created for you.

  • You need the latest from a specific person on your team (manager, collaborator) every morning.

Copilot prompts are part of the optional connected experiences. To learn more about the settings your organization admin may have chosen, see Overview of optional connected experiences in Office.
