Symptoms

Assume that you apply KB 4038210 to Microsoft SQL Server 2014. When you try to do a preview in the Change Data Capture (CDC) source task, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio

The given key was not present in the dictionary.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
