Copilot in Excel can only be used with Excel files (.xlsx, .xlsb, or .xlsm) that have been saved to OneDrive or Microsoft 365SharePoint locations with AutoSave turned on. Make sure that your data is in a supported format such as a table. For more details, see Format data for Copilot in Excel.

Import data from the web and internal sources with Copilot in Excel ...
In the Copilot pane, ask Copilot to find the data you're looking for. You can copy and paste some of the example prompts, or create your own. Copilot takes a moment to collect the data. If the data that Copilot found is what you want, select Insert to new sheet to copy the data into a new sheet.
