Microsoft Secure Boot certificates (2011 CAs) are expiring starting June 2026. All Windows devices with Secure Boot enabled must be updated to the 2023 certificates before expiration to ensure continued security update support. This guide provides a monitoring-only approach using Microsoft Intune Remediations (Proactive Remediations).

Under Configuration settings, select Add settings and use the Settings picker to find the Secure Boot settings by searching for Secure Boot. You should see three settings in the Secure Boot category.

Secure Boot configuration settings deployed through Microsoft Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) are currently blocked on Pro editions of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Attempts to apply these policies result in Microsoft Intune Error Code 65000.
