How do I share a photo or video in GroupMe?

To share a photo to a chat:

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a photo.
2. Select attach .
3. From the Photo library, select Camera  to take a new photo or select Pictures to send an existing photo, then select Open.
4. When you’re ready, select Send to share to the chat.

Things to keep in mind about photos in GroupMe:

• Our Meme feature lets you easily add text to your photos and turn them into fun memes.
• All photos shared within a group are automatically saved to the group's gallery.

To share a video to a chat:

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a video.
2. Select attach  .
3. Select Camera, then switch to Take Video and start recording. You can also select a previously recorded video from either Pictures or Documents.
4. Select Send to share the video.

The Meme feature lets you add text to your videos. Just click the Meme button in the top corner of the video.

To save a photo sent in GroupMe:

1. Right click on the photo.

2. Select Save.

   Tip

   When you save a picture, it should be located in the C:\Users\{Your Account}\Pictures\GroupMe folder.

To share a photo to a chat:

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a photo.
2. Tap Add an attachment .
3. In the Choose from Gallery, tap Camera to take a new photo or Gallery  to send an existing photo. You can add up to 10 photos to share at a time.
4. When you've made your selection, tap Add image  where you can Meme or Edit the images, or add a caption.
5. Tap Send message  to share to the chat.

• If you don't have the ability to send multiple photos, be sure to update to the latest version of GroupMe.

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a video.
2. Tap Add an attachment  .
3. Tap Camera   where you can select Take Video and record your video. You can also select a previously recorded video from your Gallery  .
4. If you recorded a new video, tap Done. After reviewing your video, tap Done  .
5. Tap Send message to share the video.

To share a video as a GIF:

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a GIF.

2. Tap Add an attachment .

3. Tap Camera  where you can select Take Video and record your video. You can also select a previously recorded video from your Gallery  .

4. Slide the Convert to GIF slider to on.

   Note

   Videos must be 15 seconds or less to convert them to GIFs.

5. Tap Done .

   Note

   The Meme feature lets you add text to your GIFs. Just tap the Meme button in the top of the converted GIF.

6. Tap Send to share your converted GIF.

To save a photo or video sent in GroupMe:

1. Tap the photo or video to open it full screen.
2. Tap More options   at the top and then tap Save.

To share a photo to a chat:

1. Go to the chat that you want to share a photo.
2. Tap attach  .
3. From the Photo Library, tap camera  to take a new photo or photos  to send an existing photo. You can add up to 10 photos to share at a time.

3. Select Share Photos and Documents and select the photo you’d like to share, then select Open.
4. When you’re ready, select Send to share to the chat.
