You can find your privacy settings under Settings > Preferences > Privacy Settings.

These privacy settings will apply to all your Microsoft 365 applications if you use your Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com account. If you or your administrator configured privacy settings in another Microsoft 365 app, we will notify you that these same settings have been applied when you open Outlook mobile.

If you are using Gmail, Yahoo, IMAP, POP3 account, your privacy settings will only apply to the app and device you are on. If you are using an on-premises or GCC account, privacy settings are not yet available.

If the primary account in your Privacy Settings is a Microsoft 365 enterprise account and your organization allows you to use optional connected services, you get to decide whether you want to use these cloud-backed services. Learn more about these optional Connected Experiences in Microsoft 365.

If the primary account in your Privacy Settings is an Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, IMAP, or POP3 account, you have the option of disabling services that download or analyze content in Microsoft 365. Learn more about these services on Outlook mobile.

You also have the option of disabling optional diagnostic data. Learn more about diagnostic data in Microsoft 365.

If you are underage and using an Outlook.com account, your optional diagnostic data will be set to off, learn more about privacy for kids, teenagers, and families.  

You can find your privacy settings under Settings > General > Privacy and data > Privacy settings

Your privacy settings only apply to the app and device you are on.  

If the primary account in the new Outlook for Windows is a Microsoft 365 enterprise account and your organization allows you to use optional connected services, you get to decide whether you want to use these cloud-backed services.  

If the primary account in the new Outlook for Windows is an Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, or IMAP account, you have the option of disabling services that download or analyze content in Microsoft 365.

Note:  In the future, you will be able to apply these privacy settings to all your Microsoft 365 applications, when using your Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com account. This article will be updated when the feature is available.
