When you click the Stop Using Task Scheduler command on the Advanced menu
in Task Scheduler, the Task Scheduler icon may still appear on the taskbar
after you restart your computer.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you install Microsoft Windows Critical Update
Notification from the Microsoft Windows Update site.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, use the following steps.
NOTE: If you follow these steps, you no longer receive reminders about critical updates to Windows 98.
MORE INFORMATION
Because of the important nature of Windows Critical Update Notification,
it supercedes all other Task Scheduler settings.
