Stop 0x50 Error Message Printing to Windows NT 4.0 Print Server

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print to a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 print server, you may receive the following error message:
Stop 0x50 at address
Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are printing to a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5 or LaserJet 6 print server that is using Hewlett-Packard printer drivers.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods:

Method 1

Contact your network administrator and request that the Windows NT printer drivers be installed.

Method 2

Download and install the latest driver for your printer from Hewlett-Packard's Web site.
