SYMPTOMS

A program that was listed on the Windows Setup tab in the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel may no longer be listed.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the program was installed from the Microsoft Windows Update Web site without first being installed using the Add/Remove Programs tool.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, remove or reinstall the program from the Windows Update Web site instead of using the Add/Remove Programs tool.
