STOP Errors When Running MITAC 6133 Laptop on Battery Power

SYMPTOMS

When you try to run a MITAC 6133 laptop using battery power, you may receive the following STOP error messages:
STOP 0x00000050
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
or
STOP: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
Address: A01303C2
Base: A0000000
Date Stamp: 37d69fd9 - win32k.sys

CAUSE

This issue can occur because the BIOS version is not compatible with Windows 2000. This problem happens regardless of the HAL type you install.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download the latest BIOS version R1.13 for the MITAC 6133 laptop at the following MITAC Web site
