This article describes how to determine the BIOS date on a computer that is running Windows 2000.

Determining the BIOS Date

  1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
  2. Locate and click the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Biosinfo
  3. Double-click the SystemBiosDate value. The BIOS date is listed in the Edit String dialog box.
  4. Quit Registry Editor.
