When you use the Remote Desktop Connection client to connect to a Terminal Services session from another computer, you have the ability to bring sound to the client computer by selecting an option on the Local Resources tab of the Remote Desktop Connection Options dialog box. For most programs this functionality works, but the .mid or MIDI sound files do not play through the sound redirection. STATUS
This behavior is by design.
