When you upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000 you may receive the following error message:
STOP: 0x000000CE (0xEEFB2EC4, 0x000000000, 0xEEFB2EC4, 0x00000000) DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATION *** Address EEFB2EC4 base at EEFB2EC4, DateStamp 00000000 - Raspppoe.sys CAUSE
This issue can occur if either a Remote Access Service (RAS) dialer or RAS PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) is installed in Windows NT 4.0.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods, as appropriate.
If You Use FAT or FAT32 as Your File SystemTo resolve this issue if you use file allocation table (FAT) or FAT32 as your file system:
