Error Message: Fatal Exception 0E Has Occurred at 0028:c02c1085 in Vxd IOS(04) + 000020f9

When you upgrade your computer from Windows 98 to Windows 98 Second Edition, you may receive the following error message:

This issue can occur if you have a scanner attached to your computer through another device on the same LPT port. For example, this issue may occur if your printer is attached to a scanner, which is attached to the computer.

To resolve this issue, remove Stillimagemonitor from the Startup folder:

1. Shut down the computer.

3. Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
4. Double-click the Programs folder, and then double-click the Startup folder.
5. In the right pane, right-click Stillimagemonitor, and then click Delete.
6. Restart the computer.
