Stop: 0x7E Error occurs in Kbdclass.sys when you try to shut down Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

When you try to shut down Windows XP, you may receive the following Stop error:
Stop: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xFC7F1945, 0xFC9589B0, 0xFC9586B0) Kbdclass.sys- address Fc7F1945 base at FC7F1000, Datestamp 3b7d82f3

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
  • The Logitech iTouch software version 1.5 or earlier is installed for Logitech keyboards. For example, this behavior may occur with the Cordless Freedom models.
  • Logitech Mouseware Software version 9.10 is installed. Other versions of this software may cause this issue.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, obtain the latest iTouch drivers or the latest version of the iTouch or Mouseware software from Logitech. Visit the following Logitech Web site:
