This article describes how to configure Microsoft Windows 2000 so that you receive verbose startup, shutdown, logon, and logoff status messages. How to back up and restore the registry in Windows You can use Registry Editor to switch between normal and verbose status messages. To use Registry Editor to enable verbose logging, follow these steps:
