EverQuest May Cause an Error Message in Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

When you are running EverQuest by Sony Online Entertainment, you may receive the following error message:
Everquest has encountered a problem and must be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If the error message is still displayed and if you want to see the data that the error report contains, click the click here link at the bottom of the message box. You then see error signature information that may be similar to:
App name       App version  Module name    Module version  Offset
-------------------------------------------------------------------
everquest.exe  0.0.0.0      everquest.exe  0.0.0.0         0000bde0
					

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because EverQuest is not completely compatible with Windows XP.

RESOLUTION
