When you try to install Microsoft Office 2000, you may receive the following error message:
Internal Error 2735: Please contact product support for assistance.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, use method 1 to clean the CD-ROM. If that does not succeed, use method 2.
Method 1: Clean the CD-ROMWhen you clean a CD-ROM, it is important not to damage the surface. Clean your CD-ROM with a commercially available CD-ROM cleaner and scratch remover, or use a clean, soft, cotton cloth. To clean the CD-ROM with a clean, soft, cotton cloth, follow these steps:
Method 2: Run Setup with the DONOTMIGRATEUSERSETTINGS=True CommandIf an earlier version of Office has been removed, some files that the Office 2000 installer has to have may have been removed or corrupted. As a result, the Setup program cannot migrate settings from the earlier version of Office. To install Office 2000 without migrating settings from an earlier version of Office, follow these steps:
