When you save a document that has version comments in Microsoft Office Word 2004 for Mac or in Microsoft Office Word 2002, the version comments are not saved.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- Version comments that are created in Microsoft Office Word 2004 for Mac cannot be seen in earlier versions of Microsoft Word for Mac or in Microsoft Office Word 2000 or earlier.
- Version comments that are created in Word 2004 for Mac or later cannot be seen in earlier versions of Word for Mac.
- Version comments that are created in Microsoft Office Word 2002 cannot be seen in Word 2004 for Mac.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
