Comments that are in a document do not print in a Word for Mac document

SYMPTOMS

When you print your Microsoft Word for Mac document, any comments that are in the document do not print.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the Print comment preference is not enabled.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. On the Word menu, click Preferences.
  2. Click Print.
  3. Click to select the Comments check box.
  4. Click OK.
When you print your document, the comments will be printed as a separate page.
