On This PageSYMPTOMSOn a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you experience the following symptoms: Symptom 1When an application calls the AuthzInitializeContextFromSid function, the function fails. Then, if the application calls the GetLastError function, the ERROR_MORE_DATA error is returned.This problem occurs if the UserSid parameter that is specified in the AuthzInitializeContextFromSid function is present in the sIDHistory attribute of the user. Symptom 2The Microsoft Password Change Notification Service cannot synchronize password changes for users who have security identifiers (SIDs) stored in the sIDHistory attribute. In addition, the following events are logged in the Application log:Event ID: 2303Event Type: Information Event ID: 6037Event Type: Error RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
