SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You configure native mode as site mode on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) site server.
The anonymous access feature is turned off on the certificate services Web site.
You use the enroll.exe utility to install certificates automatically for some Windows CE 5.0-based mobile clients.
You enter a user name and password in the enroll.cfg file that is used for authentication.

In this scenario, the enroll.exe utility does not read the user name and password in the enroll.cfg file and you are prompted to enter a user name and password manually. Therefore, the certificate is not installed automatically.

RESOLUTION

This hotfix provides a new enroll.exe utility for the ARM and x86 platform. The new enroll.exe utility supports two new parameters known as -u and -p. You can use these two new parameters to input a user name and password.

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, your computer must be running System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 site server.

Installation instructions

Note The following hotfix package can be installed on a SCCM 2007 SP2 site server that is running an x86-based version of an operating system or an x64-based version of an operating system:

SCCM2007-SP2-KB978914-X86-ENU.msi

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.
