Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.
Symptoms
The reports that are generated in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 R2) Report Manager are not compliant with section 1194.21(e) in the Section 508 standards:
Section 1194.21 (e) When bitmap images are used to identify controls, status indicators, or other programmatic elements, the meaning assigned to those images shall be consistent throughout an application's performance.
When a screen reader is used by a visually impaired user to access a report that is generated by Report Manager, the screen reader cannot provide useful prompts for some elements of the user interface (UI). Specifically, the following issues occur when a screen reader is used to access the report:-
The Export button on the preview toolbar of the report does not provide a meaningful prompt.
-
There are no prompts for the items in the drop-down list that is displayed when a user clicks the Export button.
Cause
This issue occurs because the Export button and drop-down anchors of the generated report do not have title tags.
