Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • You configure the server to run in native mode.

  • You install a Microsoft SharePoint server and add the Report Explorer Web Part to the SharePoint server.

  • You configure the Report Explorer Web Part to point to the report manager URL of the report server.

  • You specify a non-root folder in the report server folder hierarchy as the start path in the Report Explorer Web Part.

  • You access Report Explorer by using the ViewMode=WebPartList URL access parameter in the browser.

In this scenario, the Home link in the Report Explorer Web Part is broken. When you click the Home link, it always redirects you to the root folder of the report manager instead of the start path that you specified in the Report Explorer Web Part.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Home link URL is encoded two times in the view of the Web Part.
