Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create an online meeting invitation from Microsoft Outlook on a computer that has Microsoft Lync 2010 installed.

  • You change the Location where most people dial in from setting in Meeting Options.

  • You send the invitation, and then you open the meeting schedule from the Outlook calendar.

In this scenario, you receive the following message:

Your online meeting invitation needs to be updated due to changed server policies. Clicking OK will update the invitation. Please review the online meeting options and then send the updated invitation to all participants.
Additionally, the dial-in number of the meeting is changed to the default dial-in number.
