Symptoms
Assume that you insert a Left Bracket shape into a slide in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, and then you format the shape to have a different arrow type at each of its ends. In this situation, the arrow types are reversed so that they are displayed on the wrong ends of the shape.
Resolution
To resolve this problem, apply the following update:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common -
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

Type ReversedArrowTypeBracketsBraceOnBinarySave, and then press Enter.

In the Details pane, right-click ReversedArrowTypeBracketsBraceOnBinarySave, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
