INTRODUCTION
This article describes that a country-specific update is available to correct the VAT 100 report in United Kingdom (UK) in the following products:

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
More Information
Currently, the UK VAT 100 (Value-added tax return) report does not report services correctly.
When an invoice is generated for European Union (EU) services, the base amount is posted to the "Total value of all supplies of goods and related costs, excluding any VAT, to other EC Member States" (Box 8) or "Specified private activity bond interest Total value of all acquisitions of goods and related costs, excluding any VAT, from other EC Member States" (Box 9). However, the EU invoice that is a solely service invoice should not be entered in Box 8 or Box 9 in the VAT 100 report.
Note The "solely service" invoice means that the services should not be a part of the overall invoice total. For example, invoices that contain only services.
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Validation of the application hotfix installationTo validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
