This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for the Poland (pl) region.
INTRODUCTION
This article describes that a country-specific update is available to support changes to personal income tax (PIT) and corporate income tax (CIT) tax base in Poland in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.
On January 1, 2013, changes that were introduced to PIT and CIT came in force in Poland. The changes are related to ease administrative burden in economy.
The changes are introduced to force companies not to overdue payments to contractors and introduce a penalty for not paying on time. The penalty is that you cannot treat costs from overdue invoices as PIT/CIT tax deductible costs any longer.
The invoices cannot be treated as tax in one of the following conditions:
-
The original due date term is shorter than 60 days, and the invoice is not paid within 30 days from the original due date.
-
The original due date term is longer than 60 days, and the invoice is not paid within 90 days from the date that is included in tax costs (for example, the posting date/period).
For PIT/CIT purposes, the correction of costs should be done in the month that they were excluded from tax costs, and the correction can be reverted in the month that invoice was finally paid. If the invoice was partly paid, the correction/reverse of the correction can also be done partly.
The correction of cost is used in the situation when the invoice is direct cost (for example, office rent), or in the situation in which the invoice is not posted directly into cost accounts (for example, when the invoice is related to the purchase of fixed assets, the depreciation of the fixed asset is not tax deductible costs or if the invoices is related to the purchase of goods for resale, the cost of the goods sold is not tax deductible cost).
More Information
After you install this update, the following new features are enabled.
Setup
You must fulfill the following fields to enable this feature.
-
The intervals for bad debts have to be set up to select the documents according to the defined conditions under the following location:
General ledger>Setup>Overdue debt> Overdue debt journal calculation
-
Debts overdue period
This setting identifies the condition debts\liabilities overdue period. You should enter two lines to identify the conditions for both the Calculation type values. The system selects invoices that apply to the condition and the due date or the invoice date belongs to the period:From "Journal Date - Maximum number of days" to "Journal Date - Minimum number" of days
-
Minimum number of days
-
Maximum number of days
-
-
Calculation type
This setting identifies the type of calculation.-
Starting from planned payment day
-
Starting from shipment date
-
-
Payment term days
This setting identifies overdue days. -
Validate
This setting indicates that invoice transactions have to be validated so that the total overdue debt amount remains the same as the amount on the date of the last overdue debt journal.
-
-
To identify the dimension for CIT/PIT calculating, the new Dimension for CIT/PIT calculating field is added under the following location. The dimension that is defined in this field will be used for "bad" debts allocation.
Account payable> Setup>Parameters>The Ledger and sales tax tab
-
New number sequence is added for the CIT/ PIT overdue Journal under the following location:
Account payable>Setup>Parameters>The Number sequences tab
New functionality
The new "Overdue vendor debt CIT/PIT journal" periodic operation is added as the menu item under the following location:
Account payable>Periodic>CIT/PIT in overdue debts>Overdue vendor debt CIT/PIT journal
-
Click Create in the "Overdue vendor debt CIT/PIT journal" form, and then specify the reporting date to the last date of the journal reporting period in the Date field. The condition for the documents selection will be calculated for two conditions according to the settings.
In the Overdue vendor debt CIT/PIT" journal form, the list of created journals is displayed.
The Create button is available when the form is empty or the last journal is approved. By the journal creation, the sum of debts is allocated proportionally between the financial dimensions that are assigned in the invoice lines. -
Click Lines, the system shows the full debt of the invoice on the top the form and the debt divided according to the payment schedule in the bottom part of the form.
-
Click Inquiries and then select Distribution by dimensions, the system shows the view of the debt sum distributed by financial dimensions.
-
Click Print report to print the report.

Validation of the application hotfix installationTo validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
