Latest updates for versions of Office that use Windows Installer (MSI)
This article describes update KB2899497 for Microsoft Visio 2013 that was released on November 11, 2014. Please be aware that the update in Download Center applies to Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2013. It does not apply to the Office 2013 Click-to-Run editions such as Microsoft Office 365 Home. (How to determine?).
Fixes and Improvements
Fixes the following issue:
Assume that you open a Visio drawing that contains a chart object in Visio 2013, or insert a new chart object into a Visio drawing. You double-click the chart object to make it active, and then you right-click the chart object. When you click Change Chart Type and then select a different chart type inside the Change Chart Type dialog box, Visio 2013 may stop responding for a while. You may also receive one of the following error messages: The object is not responding because the source application may be busy:
The object is not responding because the source application may be busy.
Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action.
Additionally, other operations in the Change Chart Type dialog box may cause Visio 2013 to stop responding. You may also receive a similar error message.

Start Visio 2013.

On the File menu, click Account.

For Office 2013 Click-to-Run installations, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based installations, the Update Options item is not displayed.
