This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Office 2013 hotfix package that is dated December 9, 2014. Click the "Hotfix Download Available" button to get the hotfix.

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you open a workbook in Excel 2013 on a high DPI display. When you try to insert an app for Office 2013 by clicking the My Apps button on the Insert tab, the resolution of the Apps for Office dialog box may be incorrect.

  • Assume that you install Office 2013 on a Windows 8.1-based computer that has a high-DPI screen. Then you project your screen to a second screen, and the resolution of the second screen is smaller than the given screen. In this situation, when you insert an app for Office 2013 to an Office 2013 application, the app does not resize correctly to fit the resolution on the second screen.

  • This hotfix improves the performance and fixes a memory leak issue of app for Office 2013.
