Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You start an application that hosts the Web browser control and make sure that no Internet Explorer process has already started.

You browse some web page content that requires forms-based authentication.
-
You open Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11 and browse to any website.
-
You go back to the Web browser control hosting application.
In this situation, you are prompted for credentials in order to access the necessary information.
Note This issue does not occur if Internet Explorer is started before the Web browser control hosting application even if Internet Explorer is closed at some point.
Resolution
Update information
To resolve this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update.

Workaround
To work around this issue, you can start Internet Explorer before Web browser control hosting applications.
