Applies ToSQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence SQL Server 2014 Business Intelligence - duplicate (do not use)

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You create a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or 2014 Integration Services (SSIS 2012/2014) package by using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT).

  • You create a connection manager by using the Microsoft Connector for Oracle by Attunity.

  • You set the ProtectionLevel property of the project to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword.

In this scenario, when you build the SSIS package, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

'Salt' attribute for OraPassword is missing in the project manifest.

Resolution

The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server:

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. We recommend that you download and install the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
