Symptoms

When you try to print an image from a website in Internet Explorer 11, the operation fails if it uses the SAMEORIGIN or ALLOW-FROM X-Frame-Options header value. Additionally, an error message is printed instead of the image. The error message resembles the following:

This content cannot be displayed in a frame

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To do this, go to Microsoft Update. Additionally, see the technical information about the most recent cumulative security update for Internet Explorer.Note This update was first included in the MS16-104: Security update for Internet Explorer: September 13, 2016.
