Issue

How can I request a new Dexterity Product ID for my product?

Resolution

New Product ID numbers are assigned by the Registration/Sales Operations group within Microsoft Business Solutions. To request a new Product ID, refer to one of the following sets of instructions, depending on whether you are a customer or a partner.

--Customers--

Microsoft Business Solutions customers cannot request their own Dexterity Product ID. Customers must contact their partner. The partner can request a Product ID on the customer's behalf.

--Business Solutions Partners--

Certified Microsoft Business Solutions partners can visit the PartnerSource Web site and submit a new support request to Sales Operations. To do this, follow these steps:

1.  Sign into the Microsoft Dynamics website:

https://mbs2.microsoft.com/support/operationsincidents.aspx?mode=create

2.  Click on Pricing & Ordering

3.  Click CONTACT US tile or on NEW OPERATIONS REQUEST in the left margin

4. Include the following information in your request:

  • Name

  • Company Name

  • Authorized phone number

  • Product name

  • A brief product description

  • Product Type - Business Function/ Customization/ Enhancement/ Industry Solution
