A Bluetooth Personal Area Network (BTPAN) is another way to share Internet connectivity between devices wirelessly. You can use this feature to connect your computer to a PC or phone’s hotspot through Bluetooth instead of using Wi-Fi.

To use BTPAN, you will need a Bluetooth adapter on your computer, and another device that has Bluetooth and supports hotspot functionality. Here's how:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on both devices, and ensure the devices are paired to each other. For more, see Pair a Bluetooth device in Windows.

  2. On the other device, activate the hotspot and set it to share over Bluetooth.

  3. Back on your PC, right-click (or long-press) Start , then select Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices and find your phone or other PC that you just paired with in the list.

  4. On the right side, select More Options > Join Personal Area Network (PAN).
