INTRODUCTION

Issues that this update package fixes

This cumulative update fixes the following issues:

  • 2745103 URLs that contain special characters bypass the URL filter in Lync 2010

  • 2735324 Event ID 14428 that has 0x80090322 code is logged unexpectedly after you install the update of KB 2670352 in Lync Server 2010

  • 2735316 Excessive LDAP traffic across a WAN in Lync Server 2010

  • 2735321 "Block all" setting of the global file transfer filter does not work in Lync Server 2010

Update package installation information

To apply this cumulative update, install the Server.msp package on computers that are running the following server roles:

  • Lync Server 2010 – Standard Edition Server

  • Lync Server 2010 – Enterprise Edition - Front-end

  • Lync Server 2010 – Enterprise Edition – Standalone Audio Video Conferencing Server

Note After you install this cumulative update, we recommend that you clear the cache in Windows Internet Explorer before you join a meeting. You must do this because a cached Javascript file prevents you from joining the meeting. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In Internet Explorer, open Internet options.

  2. Switch to the General tab.

  3. Click the Delete… button in the Browsing history section, and then click OK.

Removal information

To remove this cumulative update, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel. Sometimes, when you try to uninstall this cumulative update, you are prompted for the source CD. If this behavior occurs, insert the source CD, or provide the path where the source files can be found.
